This journal isn't entirely about me, it's somewhat about you!

I was looking through my messages, and of course your watch list is listed on the right side of the screen, and I glanced upon *wagontamer's username then asked myself "where did he get that name?" Then it sparked a new question: Why did you choose the username you have now? Is there some origin?

Now, I know some of you might have it obvious, but some others, like Wagontamer, I will never understand on my own. I'm using you as an example because it puzzles me further than the deepest depths of my dishwasher.

Just curious for your inputs. My username is obviously my real name without my middle name (Otmaro). I only add a 13 sometimes because that's how old I was when I made my e-mail and AIM accounts. I hate using it, but when there are millions of people who sign up in Hotmail, GMail, AOL Instant Messenger, and so forth, it's hard to not have your name taken. A friend of mine on the east coast said he was working in the post office and saw a letter to someone named "Edgar Corona". It's quite rare, it's pretty basic, its been used all my life, and it's [hopefully] catchy. Sometimes I wish I could have an alternate name like 99% of the people online, but thinking up something now would feel uninspired.

So yep, where is the origin of your username?

I want to try making some art 100% digital. Of course I've done it before, but it didn't hit me that I should try it more until yesterday when I saw some digital artwork. Grabbing a paper, having to deal with not having enough space, and even scanning to the PC is sort of a drag at times. I need something different...something...digital. I'll mess around in OC 1.1 a bit. Hopefully I can get something uploadable out of it.

And...I moved my PC to a new case. I went from the basic metallic case (see: Scraps) with an open side, to a completely transparent acryllic case shown here: [link] That picture was taken the night I finished...I added a 12cm fan on the rear, so that picture is a little outdated. I didn't want to throw in my blue LED lights because it would make the case too bright. I'm not that 1337. I was actually surprised to discover that I'm getting better temperatures with this case. Taking the window off my old case made my temperatures much cooler, and now, with this slightly bigger case with a large fan on the back, gets better. Air needs to be pushed out, not float out.

And hmm...I ordered a 4gb white iPod Nano from Apple last Sunday and it hasn't been shipped yet. It's taking them forever because of too much demand for that model. After it ships I need to wait 5 more days, too. Art class would be much more fun with that little thing...right now I just talk with a couple friends, but I feel it takes up more time because sometimes I stop working for a second to say something important, and those "seconds" add up to minutes, and minutes add up to...more minutes. I need music to make me focus.

Blah, long journal. I got a bit sick during the weekend but I'm getting better already. No biggie...was minor.

Um yeah...Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for the DS in a few days...heck yes.
